Step One, Step Two, Step Three

Obviously you’re ready to grow if you’ve made it here to this blog. You have come to a point in your life where you’re either frustrated or fed up and want to do something about it. We’re so glad you’re here.

What is first important to understand, if you don’t already, is that we are the sole creators of our realities. Meaning, more specifically, who and what we perceive in our lives and how are created from our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs.

What’s the first step to creating a better life? Learning the discipline of controlling both your thoughts and emotions.

How do we do this? First, every time you have a negative thought, turn it around to a positive thought. If there is no positive flip side to the thought, affirm “God’s peace runs through my soul.” Second, every time you feel the onset of a negative emotion, stop to ask yourself why you’re feeling this way and whether or not it’s necessary (hint: a negative emotion is never necessary). Then, take five deep belly breaths and remind yourself that you are a spiritual being having a human experience. Remember who you are.

While I applaud your intention to grow into a new you, having the intention alone is unfortunately not enough. You also need to let go of everything that is no longer serving you. I understand this can be hard, but it’s a necessity to not only rid all negativity, but also to make room for the better things coming to take their place.

Tonight before you go to sleep, remind yourself that the millions of negative thoughts that try to reach us per day cannot injure the person who believes they are a soul and not a body. When you realize the divinity within you, you cannot be hurt. You are a being a beacon of light is the only reality.

I am divinely guided, divinely protected, and everything is mine.
