Pain and the effort to be separate from it are the same thing!
Feel the pain in whatever form it comes, recognize it, but resist the urge to get rid of it.
Wanting to get out of pain is the pain.
Once you realize pain/sadness is not a bad feeling but rather a call to correct your thinking, you’ll realize pan is helpful and unnecessary to dwell on. Feel it, recognize it, change your thought direction and assume divine indifference.
